Three glass spheres on stems. The spheres are filled with a watery substance with different types of material suspended in it. The interior of the upper sphere is loosely inspired by a plasma globe (in real life filled with a gas rather than a fluid). In POV-Ray this is implemented as an emitting medium. The middle sphere's interior is inspired by a lava lamp and implemented as an absorbing medium. The lower sphere's interior is inspired by a snow dome and implemented as a scattering medium. The three media use different density patterns to obtain the desired shapes.
